Do you love plants but have a hard time keeping them alive? Or they just don't seem to thrive in your home?  Well, I was in your shoes not so very long ago!  I saw a plant on Facebook that was really cool looking and I thought, what the heck, lets give it a try.  After bringing "Jose" home (it's a Jose Buono philodendron), I started doing research on what plants need, such as soil type, lighting requirements, nutrients, etc.  Once I started giving my plant the right environment, little Jose took off and is now almost 3.5 feet tall!  As of today, it has a bud that has been forming for the last month.  Every day I look to see if it is going to start opening, but it just wants to take its sweet time!  One thing about the Jose Buono, every new leaf has a very different distinct pattern.  This is so fun to watch when the new leaf opens.  You never know what you are going to get.  They are highly varigated.  

     I have since aquired over 100 different varieties of houseplants and have been propagating them for over a year now.   When you purchase a plant from Vintage and Vines, you can expect not only a healthy plant, but all the information you need to be successful raising your plant.  

     I found that buying a plant at other stores, you are left wondering about its care and there is no one there to guide you.  The internet gives you mixed advice.  I want to share my successful (and not so successful) advice with each buyer specific to the plant they are buying.  Finding the right plant for the location you plan on keeping it is key to being successful.  Stop in for some shopping and conversation....
